Ms. Liu received her B.S. in Biochemistry from Nankai University in 1998 and her M.S. in Pharmacology from Peking Union Medical College in 2002. In 2004, Ms. Liu was selected by the SIPO to attend a training program on European Intellectual Property Law held in BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT, one of the largest notable German IP law firm. Ms. Liu attended a Master training course of Law in Civil and Commercial Law in China University of Political Science and Law in 2005. In 2011, she further attended an IP LLM Program of John Marshall Law School and earned her LLM degree with honors.

Ms. Liu started her intellectual property career in 2002 as a patent examiner in the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO). During the work with the SIPO, she examined hundreds of invention patent applications which cover the technical fields of chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, materials and metallurgy. From 2005 to 2006, Ms. Liu was promoted to be a board member of the Patent Reexamination Board (PRB) of the SIPO in and handled a number of important invalidation and litigation cases concerning invention patents, utility model patents and design patents. Also, she had been one of the members in the group chosen by the SIPO for training new examiners and providing legal and technical expert counseling relating to patent infringement.

Ms. Liu earned her Chinese Patent Bar in 2006 and started her private practice in 2007. In 2007, she joined the partnership and participated the founding of an international IP law firm located in Beijing. Since then, she has led her team handling hundreds of patent application drafting and prosecuting cases, and earned extensive experience and hign reputation in PCT applications and CN entry cases thereof. Also, she regularly appeared before PRB and courts for cases involving invalidation and enforcement litigations on behalf of domestic and international clients, with a high success rate and good reputations. Some of these cases have become landmark decisions in the industry.

In 2014, Ms. Liu founded Innowise IP Law Office together with her partners and become its president and chief founding partner.

Subject: Infringement Litigation and Invalidation Request thereof; Resolution: Won all of the PRB procedure and the court trials.

2. Fu Yi Enterprise Co, Ltd. v. Mechiema Chemicals Int Co.,
Subject: Infringement Litigation and Invalidation Request thereof; Resolution: Won both of the PRB procedure and the first court trial, and the opponent gave up second trial.

3. Beijing Holley-Cotec Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. v. Chongqing Jianqiao Pharmaceutical Development Co., Ltd.,
Subject: Infringement Litigation and Invalidation Request thereof; Resolution: Won all of the PRB procedure and the court trials, and this case was selected by the PRB as one of their top 10 typical cases in 2011.

4. Livzon Pharmaceutical Group Inc., v. Hubei Keyi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.,
Subject: Design Patent Infringement Litigation and Invalidation Request thereof; Resolution: Won both of the PRB procedure and the first court trial; case was settled on confidential terms.

5. Louis Vuitton Malletier Co. v. Wang Jun.
Subject: design patent invalidation on the ground of conflicting with the lawful rights that have been obtained by any other person prior to the date of application.

Mr. Lee received his both bachelor's degrees in chemistry and law from Beijing Normal University in 2006 and his master's degree in international law from Beijing Normal University in 2009. He is studying for a doctor's degree in international law from Beijing Normal University since 2014. 

In the campus, Mr. Lee successfully passed the Bar Exam with a high score. He participated in the due diligence of the IPO of China Railway Construction, and also co-founded an environmental technology corporation and became its Legal Director.

Mr. Lee served in the only professional patent annuity service agency in China after his graduation. During the work there, he not only was engaged in services concerning patent annuity and other fees, but also provided patent application, patent search and consultation services. He organized or took part in the composing of many patent analysis reports of relative technical fields and competitor analysis reports for several corporations, which received approval and appreciation from the clients. 

Mr. Lee started his private practice as a patent attorney when he joined an international IP law firm located in Beijing in 2011. His practice includes patent drafting, prosecution, reexamination, invalidation proceedings together with translation, infringement analysis and patent search and consultation services in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, pharmaceutical and biotechnical chemistry. Since then, the amount of granted invention patents which were drafted or provided with professional response by Mr. Lee has been up to almost 180. The international clients that he served including GSK, 3M Company, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, KBR, E Ink Corporation, Borealis, Amcol and Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology, and the domestic clients that he cooperated with including Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Tianjin Institute of Pharmaceutical Research, Livzon Pharmaceutical Group and Kangmei Pharmaceutical. 

In 2015, Mr. Lee has co-founded Innowise IP Law Office with partners and became its co-founding partner.
